ASR has one main menu across the top of every page. Once you know what the five or so items mean, you can get anywhere. This article walks through all of it.
The top bar
From left to right:
The ASR logo — takes you back to Work.
The main menu — the areas of the app, covered below. Items with a small arrow have a submenu; click the arrow to see it.
The notification bell — your recent notifications.
Your name and picture — your account menu, including Log out.
Below that is a second, lighter bar showing your organisation and the site you're currently looking at. See How to choose which site you're looking at.
On a phone the menu collapses into a hamburger button — tap it to open the same items in a panel.
The menu items
Work
Your daily hub, and where most people spend their time. It shows what's due today and the actions assigned to you. The badge on Work counts your open actions.
Its submenu holds the day-to-day tools:
Diary — a day-by-day timeline of checks and diary entries.
Checklists — the full list of checklists with filters and statuses.
Actions — every job that needs doing, with owners and due dates.
If checklists aren't enabled for your organisation, Work goes straight to your actions and there's no submenu.
Events
Where incidents are logged and investigated. You can record what happened, attach evidence, and work through the investigation. Reporting inside this area shows volumes, time to close and repeat patterns.
This only appears if incident management is enabled for your organisation.
Standards
Your reference library — the things that define how work should be done, as opposed to the record of doing it. Its submenu holds:
Documents — the document store: policies, certificates and procedures, with version history and review dates.
Checklist Templates — the master copies of your checks and their schedules.
Risk Assessments — operational risk assessments.
A green badge on Standards counts documents needing review. Hover it and you'll see how many are overdue and how many are coming up.
Audits
Audit reports for your sites. Open a report to see the findings, the scores and the actions raised from it. You can search with Search audits....
Reporting
The management dashboard, headed Business Overview — described as "A snapshot of organisational performance, risk, and required actions". Compliance scores, how sites compare, document review status, open and overdue actions.
This only appears for client admins, site and area managers, and auditors. Team members and viewers won't see it.
The notification bell
Click the bell for your recent notifications — an action assigned to you, a check that's due, a document needing review. From the dropdown you can:
Click any notification to go straight to what it's about.
Choose Mark all as read to clear them.
Choose View all notifications for the full history.
Nothing waiting? You'll see No notifications.
Your account menu
Click your name or picture at the top right for:
Organisation — switch organisation, if you belong to more than one.
Settings — your account, notification preferences and, for administrators, organisation settings. Only shown to administrators and auditors.
Log out.
If you're a consultant or auditor
Working for a consultancy rather than a single organisation gives you a different menu:
Assessments — the audit and assessment pipeline across your clients.
Assignments — your own queue of audits to plan, carry out or review.
Clients — the client organisations you look after.
Standards — shared template libraries.
When you select a client to work on, ASR switches to that client's menus so you see what they see. A Back to option in the organisation switcher returns you to your own view.
On your phone or tablet
ASR works in a mobile browser, and there's a native app too. In the app the top menu is replaced by a toolbar along the bottom of the screen with the same main areas. It's built for completing checks on the move — buttons are larger and the layouts stack into a single column.
Can't find something?
Check the submenus. Checklists, Documents and Risk Assessments all live inside a parent item, so they're one click deeper than you might expect.
Check your site selection. If a list looks emptier than expected, you may be filtered to one site. Switch to All sites.
Check your role. Reporting and Settings are hidden for some roles.
It may not be enabled. Events, Checklists and Risk Assessments are switched on per organisation.
